1.  Why are our Decals different then other decals on the market?

We utilize the latest digital print technology on the market today! There are No white borders, and No Clear Vinyl Backgrounds. Made from 2 mil premium plus vinyl with an outdoor specific process for the most durable, sharpest graphics anywhere. In addition to using only the highest quality UV resistant inks, we also clear coat all our decals to a super shine  for long lasting protection! 2.  Will Decals hold up to weather and waxing?

Yes! Our decals are  professionally prepped and treated with our own quality tested painting process. We use High Quality Montana Automotive polyester base paints, which are topped with 4 coats of high solids, then they are clear coated with UV protection.

 

3.  Do I need to clear coat over my decals once they are installed?

No! Our decals are designed to be placed over your existing paint job. They have a high gloss shine which gives the appearance of  being painted directly on your bike.

 

4.  Can I clear coat over the decals?

Yes! Once Decals have been installed you can clear coat over them.

 

5.  Do I need to do anything to my decals if I decide to clear coat on top of them?

You must “Wet Sand” and prepare bike for Clear Coat. Then Install Decals as directed. (Do not attempt to sand the decal in anyway) After Decals have been installed, allow them to dry overnight to be sure all water is dried. You can now Clear Coat Bike according to paint manufactures instructions. (We recommend  a high solids clear product, laying down 2 tack coats, followed by 2 medium coats, with a final wet coat to allow for build up over decal) Do not use store bought clears in aerosol spray cans! They are lacquer based and will react with Decals!

 

6.  What would be the advantage of clear coating over Decals  as opposed to installing them on top of my paint job?

The advantage would be to give your decals an even more custom airbrushed look by burying them under your clear job. This would give a more realistic appearance of having them directly airbrushed on your bike for a fraction of the cost of the real thing.

 

7.  Why are the Tank Decals all produced within the same size dimensions?

We have tested and concluded that for easy installation, and the ability for our decals to fit the majority of bikes, the sizes offered are best. Position decals close to the center of tank to avoid as much curved surface as possible!

 

8.  How can I extend the length of my Tank Decal?

We offer an accent kit with various sized flame tips. These tips can be added to the back end of your tank decal separately to give more length. They also can be placed individually along fenders, side covers, etc. to carry the theme around the whole bike.

 

9.  Can I order Decals in another color combination?

Yes! We do offer custom colors other then the ones offered on our web site. However, there will be an additional charge for a color change. The color change is also limited to the basic color wheel. No special candies, flakes or odd colors will be offered at this time. Please allow ten business days to fill all special orders. (Call our office for additional information and pricing).

11.  Can Decals be removed, then reinstalled?

No! Our Decals can not be reinstalled once they have been removed!
